Today Abby and I signed and mailed back the lease for an apartment. We will be living in Taylors, SC, about six miles from Bob Jones University. The apartment has a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom, and it will be more than adequate for our needs. The apartment will be available May 1. We’ll start moving in then, and we’ll provide pictures once we have things arranged.

We will rent the apartment from Dr. William Liverman, the former dean of men at BJU. When they were first married, my parents rented their first apartment from Dr. Liverman.

The neighborhood will be full of friends. Kellen and Anna Beth will be in the same apartment building; Jonathan and Melissa and Duncan and Meg will be in the building across the sidewalk; Dan and Megan will be just down the hill; and there are others we know nearby.

We’re grateful that the Lord provided us with an apartment. Even though I applied at several places for housing last May, almost no housing has become available. Thankfully, we will have an affordable apartment near our jobs and our friends.
