Having given up my resolution not to tinker, I have redesigned the blog yet again. This design is based on the website Finding America by Dave Lester, a web developer at the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. Dave granted me permission to adapt his design. I liked how his design emphasized the content by placing the posts at the top. It also left room for sidebar content and for an adequate but unobtrusive menu. Thanks, Dave.

I’ve added links to RSS feeds in the menu at the top. You can subscribe to RSS feeds for posts, comments, photos, and links. In the sidebar are links to and brief descriptions of articles and books that I’ve read online, mostly about history. That content, which is the same as that in my links feed, updates automatically. You can look at the colophon for the software that I’ve used.

There’s still some tinkering that needs to be done, so let me know if you see any rough edges.
